【Pharmacological action】Pharmacodynamics: Kitasamycin is a macrolide antibacterial drug, its antibacterial spectrum is similar to that of
erythromycin. Its mechanism of action is similar to that of erythromycin. Sensitive Gram-positive bacteria include Staphylococcus aureus (including
penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), pneumococcus, streptococcus, Bacillus anthracis, Erysipelas suis, Listeria, Clostridium putrefaction,
Clostridium emphysema etc. Sensitive Gram-negative bacteria include Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria meningitidis, and Pasteurella. In addition,
it also has a good effect on mycoplasma. The antibacterial effect on most Gram-positive bacteria is slightly inferior to that of erythromycin, and the
antibacterial effect on mycoplasma is similar to that of Tylosin. The effect of Staphylococcus aureus is superior to erythromycin and
tetracycline.Pharmacokinetics: It is well absorbed after oral administration and reaches the peak plasma concentration after 2 hours. It is widely
distributed in major organs, among which the concentration in the liver, lung, kidney and muscle is relatively high, often exceeding the blood
concentration. It is mainly excreted through the hepatobiliary system, with high concentrations in bile and feces. A small amount is excreted by the
kidneys.
【Drug Interactions】
(1) Kitasamycin has the same target with other macrolides, lincosamides and chloramphenicol, so they should not be used at the same time.
(2) Combined use with β-lactams shows antagonistic effect.
【Usage and Dosage】Based on this product.
(1) Mixed feeding (growth promotion): 10~100g (5 million to 50 million units) for pigs and 10~20g (5 million to 10 million units) for chickens per
1000kg feed.
(2) Mixed feeding (treatment): 160~600g (80 million~300 million units) for pigs and 200~600g (100 million~300 million units) for chickens per
1000kg feed, for 5~7 consecutive days.
【Adverse reactions】Animals may experience dose-dependent gastrointestinal dysfunction (vomiting, diarrhea, intestinal pain, etc.) after oral
administration. The incidence rate is lower than that of erythromycin.
【Precautions】It is forbidden for laying hens during the laying period.
【Withdrawal period】7 days for pigs and chickens.
